Come and See Friends Church
CAS Ministries is a mission based, evangelical, Friends church led by our Pastors Jermaine Hines, Thimothy Williams, Terry Melancon and Walter Lawson located in the inner city of Texas City, Texas.
We provide an opportunity for everyone to unite in local mission projects and evangelism. We pray, we invite, we disciple, and we offer hospitality, all in the power of the Holy Spirit, telling the Good News of Jesus Christ by sharing our own testimonies and the Word of God.
Our team of pastors, ministry leaders, and youth serve in our community to help individuals gain stability in their lives first by meeting their physical needs, and then, emotional and spiritual needs through an ongoing relationship that honors God.
Just like Jesus invited his disciples to Come and See, we should invite those who are already in our community to Come and See the Love and Salvation of Jesus everyday.
John 1:39
He said to them, “Come and you will see.” So they came and saw where he was staying, and they stayed with him that day, for it was the about the tenth hour.
What Is Ministry?
We are all called to do ministry and even minister, but in all kinds of different ways so that the gospel can be proclaimed, the kingdom can be built, and God can be glorified — it is the calling of God.
Acts 20:24
But I do not account my life of any valve nor as precious to myself, if only I may finish my course and the ministry that I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of the grace of God.
